I'm a gamer. Well more of a casual gamer lately. I play when I have some time (and money). I typically go searching for games in bargain bins or online that are obscure, overlooked and fun. (And in the budget.)The interesting thing you will find about this list is that more hidden gems were found in the past (mainly because companies don't take risks today.) Here are five games you should add to your collection, if you are looking for something different to play.
Anarchy Reigns
Released July 12, 2012 Anarchy Reigns is an arena style beat em' up that's fast and furious. Developed by Platinum Games, (Makers of Bayonetta) If you them, you know the play style frantic and stylish.
Vanquish
Released in October 19th 2010, comes another game from, you guessed it, Platinum Games. Vanquish is a shooter that's extremely fast paced and uses bullet-time so beautifully. But don't use it too much or your mech-suit will overheat.
Starhawk
Released in May 8, 2012, Starhawk is one of my personal favorites... So much so that I did a review on it. This game is a third person shooter with real time strategy elements. You can fight in space crafts, mechs , tanks and more.
Not A Hero
Released May 14, 2015 is a downloadable title for PS4, PS Vita and PC. This fast paced 8-bit, 2D, cover-based shooter is surprisingly good and extremely challenging. Don't think you can go in guns a blazing or you'll find a game over rather quickly.
Furi
Released July 5, 2016, Furi, is the most recent and most expensive game on the list coming in at a price of $25. Furi is a Boss Battle style game that is a hack n' slash and twin stick shooter. And might I add extremely challenging. It also has an amazing art style and soundtrack.
